Expert tips on how to reduce stress and reclaim your life.
As someone who has dedicated my life to empowering people, I know all too well the debilitating impact that stress can have. It’s the silent killer that robs us of our joy, our energy, and our ability to live life to the fullest. But I’m here to tell you – it doesn’t have to be this way. You have the power to take back control and free yourself from the grip of stress.
Too often, we get caught up in the tyranny of the urgent – the endless to-do lists, the never-ending demands, the crisis of the moment. And before we know it, we’re drowning in a sea of stress, feeling overwhelmed and depleted.
But the key to conquering stress lies in a simple shift in perspective. Instead of reacting to life’s demands, it’s time to start proactively shaping your destiny. It’s about identifying the outcomes that truly matter to you and then laser-focusing your energy on achieving them. Because when you’re clear on your goals and the deeper purpose behind them, suddenly, the tasks that used to feel like drudgery become energising and fulfilling.
I’ve seen it time and again – people on the verge of collapse, drowning in stress.

Because the truth is, you have the power to transform your life. All it takes is a shift in mindset, a commitment to your well-being, and the courage to take action. So what are you waiting for? The life you deserve is waiting for you.
Things like taking regular breaks, practising mindfulness, and prioritising self-care. When you make time for the activities that nourish your mind, body, and spirit, you create a powerful buffer against the stresses of daily life.
But it’s not just about individual actions – it’s about cultivating an entire ecosystem of support. Surround yourself with people who uplift and inspire you, who challenge you to grow and who are there for you when the going gets tough. Because when you have a strong support system, you’re no longer facing the world alone.
Pause and acknowledge your victories.
And let’s not forget the power of celebration. Too often, we get so caught up in the grind that we forget to pause and acknowledge our victories, no matter how small. But taking the time to savour your successes, to treat yourself with kindness and compassion, is essential for maintaining your momentum and your sanity.
So if you’re ready to break free from the stress cycle, I invite you to start taking small, intentional steps today.
Identify the outcomes that matter most to you, create a plan to achieve them, and then relentlessly eliminate everything that doesn’t serve that vision.
How to reduce stress in 7 steps.
Step 1 – Gratitude
When we practice gratitude we increase feel good chemicals – neuro transmitters that contribute to feelings good about ourselves. Gratitude also puts us in the present moment and we can’t ever be stressed and grateful at the same time . When practicing gratitude, it is a great idea to play some nice music. Focus on a time in your life when you felt grateful for someone or something. See what you saw, hear what you heard and feel what you felt and bring it into your heart and let it build. Then focus on a time you felt happy and again See what you saw, hear what you heard and feel what you felt and bring it into your heart and let it build. Then focus on a time you felt proud of yourself and again see what you saw, hear what you heard and feel what you felt and bring it into your heart and let it build. Do this as many times as you like with REAL-life events and you will see how much it changes your state. The quality of your life is the quality of your emotions – so this will really help you feel empowering emotions instead of disempowering.
Step 2 – Drink Anti Stress Teas
Teas like lemon balm, chamomile, licorice, with Ania can help soothe the soul and are used in herbal medicine for stress and anxiety with proven results.
Step 3 – Take Vitamin B
Vitamin B is a precursor to help produce neuro transmitters which we need during stressful times. Most people are depleted in this nutrient and, under stress, it becomes even more depleted. Vitamin B is also a glucocorticoid so often under stress people will crave sweet food – like sugar and refined carbohydrates. If left too long, the adrenal glands can become overstimulated for too long, leading to fatigue, and then you may crave salty foods. Vitamin B can help to curb these issues. Foods high in Vitamin B include almonds, asparagus, avocado, barley, eggs, mushrooms, legumes, whole grains, sardines, salmon, mackerel, spirulina, sweet potato, seaweed, and oats are also a good nervine (provide calming support for the nervous system).
Step 4 – Prioritise and Chunk Your Tasks
Look at your to-do list and group similar tasks together into categories or “chunks.” This makes everything feel more manageable instead of one long, overwhelming list.
Step 5 – Focus on What You Can Control
Identify the things that are truly within your control, and let go of the rest. Worrying about things outside your influence will only drain your energy.
Step 6 – Build in Stress-Busting Activities
Schedule regular activities that help you recharge, like exercise, meditation, or time in nature. Make these non-negotiable appointments in your calendar. If you don’t schedule it, you won’t do it. So make sure you schedule it and have someone be your accountability buddy to help you follow through.
Step 7 – Delegate and Ask for Help
Don’t try to do everything yourself. Identify tasks you can delegate to others, and don’t be afraid to ask for support when you need it. Trying to be a superhero will only lead to burnout.
The key to reducing stress is to be proactive in managing your time, energy, and mindset. With a little planning and self-care, you can break free from stress and start living with more joy and fulfilment. Goodluck!
